Peter Morici: Speaker Pelosi should stop blocking the USMCA



In the spirit of opposing everything Trump – House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has announced the House will not take up legislative approval of the recently revised NAFTA – the U.S.-Mexico-Canada Agreement – until Mexico first changes its trade laws to comply with the deal. This flies in the face of Mexican pride – an issue not to be trifled – and jeopardizes many gains organized labor and critics of free trade on the left have long sought.
